Spillane MS orchestra named Houston Cup finalist
Sept. 22, 2023—The Spillane Middle School orchestra was named a finalist for the 2023 Houston Cup for the second consecutive year. The award recognizes excellent orchestra teaching and directing at the middle school level in greater Houston.

Sept. 18, 2023—Wells Elementary School fifth grade student Ted Bullard is praised by his teachers for being a ray of sunshine on campus.

25 CFISD students named 2024 National Merit semifinalists
Sept. 14, 2023—A total of 25 CFISD seniors representing seven high schools were confirmed as semifinalists in the 69th annual National Merit Scholarship Program, officials announced on Sept. 13, allowing academically talented students to continue in the competition for approximately 7,140 National Merit scholarships worth nearly $28 million.

Sept. 11, 2023—Cypress Falls High School senior Ava Lam is a three-time All-American cheerleader in her second year serving as captain, and also participated in the MIT Introduction to Technology, Engineering and Science summer STEM program.
