Today we’d like you to know that autism is a spectrum; no two people have the same symptoms, and can vary from person to person. Thanks for listening in on today’s fun fact! Here is some exciting news! Nico Earl, also known as Chef Nico, made a name for himself at the regional competition earlier this year so much so that he placed 2 nd at the state level FCCLA competition this past weekend. Out of twenty-five students, with only two being able to advance to nationals, he showed up and showed out as he was the only student representing Cy-Fair Culinary in his division. The national day of silence in April each year is a student-led movement to protest the bullying and harassment of LGBTQ+ students. The day of silence brings awareness and illustrates how intimidation, name-calling, and general bullying have a silencing effect. The first (LGBTQ+)day of silence was organized in 1996 by students of the University of Virginia, and has been observed on the second Friday of April since then. We would also like to congratulate all of the athletes who qualified for the 15-6A and 16-6A Area Meet. The Area Meet will be April 12th at Tomball High School Cougar Stadium at 5:00 pm. Please come out and support. GO LOBO NATION!
