My name is Heather Ferguson and I am the 6th grade counselor for the 2023-2024 school year. I have spent the last sixteen years working in Cy-Fair ISD. My time in the district has been spent as a classroom teacher, a Math Interventionist, and an Instructional Specialist. I received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from Angelo State University. I’m excited to begin my 7th year as a school counselor at Salyards Middle School. Sixth grade is an exciting time for our students, and I'm looking forward to an amazing school year!

My name is Kimberly Linder, and I am the 7th Grade Counselor for the 2023-2024 school year. I am starting my fifteenth year in education. I have been a Middle School Science teacher for the last fourteen years. The last nine years at Arnold Middle School in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. I have an undeniable passion for school counseling and always knew this was my dream job. I received my Undergraduate Degree and master’s degree from Lamar University. I am overjoyed to be here and be a part of such a wonderful school. I look forward to working with the students and getting to know them. As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote all students' academic, personal, and social development. I look forward to supporting the students, staff, families, and community.
Charlotte Miller - 8th Grade Counselor

My name is Charlotte Miller and I am the 8th grade counselor for the 2023-2024 school year. This is my 31st year in education and 16th year as a school counselor. I started my career in education teaching at a middle school in Katy ISD. I then moved to teach at Ault Elementary and have been with CFISD for 27 years. I have been a school counselor at Danish Elementary, Keith Elementary and Wells Elementary before coming to Salyards in 2021. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and have my Master’s degree from Prairie View A&M in School Counseling. I am very excited to be at Salyards again this year. I am looking forward to continuing to work with these students this upcoming school year!
