Yes. All CFPD Officers are licensed peace officers. They are certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

Can CFISD PD Officers work outside police extra jobs not affiliated with the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD?
Yes. Outside extra jobs go through an administrative review and departmental approval process. You may frequently see a CFISD Police Officer in a CFISD uniform working events outside our primary jurisdiction such as traffic control, community events, churches, restaurants, movie theaters, and sporting events.

If you do not appear in court or pay your fine, the court may issue a warrant for your arrest. Any police officer may arrest you once the warrant is issued.

Tickets issued by CFISD Police Officers are adjudicated in the Justice of the Peace Courts in Harris County.

Yes. CFPD officers are authorized to issue traffic citations. CFPD has traffic units that monitor speed in school zones using radar, on or off school property.
