BECOME A SUBSTITUTE

STEP ONE - APPLY

  • We hire substitutes year-round. Apply online to be a substitute.

    Substitutes: A substitute is an employee who serves on a temporary basis in the place of a current employee. This position is not eligible to contribute to the Teacher Retirement System (TRS). 

    Vacancy Substitute: A vacancy substitute is an employee who is working in an unfilled vacancy or a temporarily funded position. This position is eligible to contribute to the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) at the current contribution rate of 7.7%.

STEP TWO – MONITOR REFERENCES

  • ENTER at least one professional references on the Reference Page of the application. One must be a supervisor reference from your current or most recent employment.

    MONITOR your references. References must be returned for your application to be considered. It is your responsibility to log-in and monitor the references.
