Summer Academy for Mathematics & Sciences at Carnegie Mellon

Carnegie Mellon offers a top-ranked Summer Academy for Mathematics & Science. The six-week program is specifically designed for those students who are come from backgrounds underrepresented in the fields of natural science (ethnic minority students, students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, first-generation college students, etc.). Classes on mathematics, computer science, engineering, and SAT preparation are all offered, and are taught by Carnegie Mellon instructors.

Women's Technology Program - Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Camino Al Futuro  Program at George Washington University

Camino al Futuro is a pre-college summer program aimed at students from Latin and Hispanic communities. The three-week program is designed to cultivate in students leadership potential and focuses on subjects in the fields of business, economics, and politics. Students conduct research and analyze media, engage in collaborative projects, meet with Hispanic and Latino leaders, and attend various local sites.  It is a fully-funded summer scholarship program that engages high-achieving juniors (rising seniors) from U.S. high schools in a residential academic leadership development program at the George Washington University.

Math Camp - Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO

Mathcamp is free for lots of students. Every family with household income $65,000 and below automatically qualifies for a full scholarship.

Canada/USA Mathcamp is an intensive 5-week-long summer program for mathematically talented high school students, designed to expose these students to the beauty of advanced mathematical ideas and to new ways of thinking.

The Telluride Association Sophomore Seminar (TASS)

This summer, 56 intellectually curious high school sophomores (“rising juniors”) will participate in one of four challenging six-week college-level seminars on topics related to critical Black and ethnic studies. The seminars will be held at Cornell University and the University of Michigan.

All the program costs, including tuition, books, room and board, field trips, and facilities fees are covered.

National Society of Black Engineers Summer Engineering Experience for Kids (SEEK)

This FREE three-week program is open to students who are current 3rd through 5th graders or current 6th through 8th graders (6th-8th offered in selected locations).  The program will be held at a local Houston elementary school or middle school, and will include 100 students in each grade level, for a total of 300 students served per program. 

The program is a commuter-based program for students, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am and ending at 3:30 pm.
