George E. Hopper, Jr. was selected as the namesake for Middle School #15.   George spent 32 of his 42 years in education working in CFISD.    He began his tenure with the district in 1972 as a teacher and coach at the inception of Jersey Village High School.   He also served as assistant principal and associate principal at Jersey Village. George was the principal who opened Campbell Middle School, Langham Creek Interim School, Langham Creek High School and Cypress Falls High School.

He served as the director of ancillary personnel and was serving as the director of athletics when he retired in June 2004.  While serving as the principal at Langham Creek, the school was identified as a National Blue Ribbon School—the first high school in the district to receive this distinction.

George and his wife, Pamela, have five children who were graduates of Cy-Fair and Klein schools.
