APPLY FOR FREE & REDUCED MEAL BENEFITS
To determine eligibility for free or reduced-price meals for the 2024-2025 school year, families with students who do not attend a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) campus will need to complete a Free & Reduced Meal Application. Applications must be completed each school year to determine eligibility.
View the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Child Nutrition Programs Income Eligibility Guidelines. The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) administers school nutrition programs in Texas and offers an eligibility calculator on the Square Meals Online Program Eligibility Form.
Please note that students who are attending a USDA designated Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) campus during the 2024-2025 school year will receive free meals and are not required to complete a Free and Reduced Meal Application. FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCH FOR REDUCED-PRICE ELIGIBLE STUDENTS
NEW: Reduced-Price Eligible Students Will Receive Breakfast at No Charge for 2024 and 2025
The 88th Texas Legislature approved funding as part of the General Appropriations Act so that students who qualify for reduced-price school meals can eat breakfast at no charge this school year. Students who meet eligibility requirements for reduced-price meals must be offered breakfast at no charge by Texas school districts that participate in the School Breakfast Program.
NEW: Nutrition Services will be subsidizing reduced lunch for CFISD students starting the 24-25 school year. This, along with the state subsidy for reduced breakfast, will allow all reduced students to eat breakfast and lunch at no charge.
