Karen Smith, CFISD chief financial officer, was honored as a 2021 recipient of the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) Distinguished Eagle Award on Oct. 14 at the ASBO International Annual Conference & Expo in Milwaukee.
The Bridgeland High School girls placed third at the Region II-6A cross country meet to advance to the state meet, highlighting several CFISD qualifiers.
The Anthony MS girls won both the seventh and eighth grade middle school cross country championships, with the Smith MS eighth grade boys and Salyards MS seventh grade boys also winning titles.
The CFISD Middle School UIL One-Act Play contests will be held Nov. 3-5 in the Berry Center theater. The competition will be divided into three zones consisting of six schools each.
