Eight CFISD elementary schools selected in Read to the Final Four bracket

Jan. 27, 2023—Eight CFISD elementary schools were selected to advance to the bracket round of competition in the Read to the Final Four reading challenge at Woodard Elementary School on Jan. 23.

Culinary arts students compete in sixth CFISD Cupcake Battle

Jan. 24, 2022—Cypress Ridge High School junior Manmut Libam-Libock and Cypress Ranch High School sophomore Travis Huggins won first place in their respective competition divisions at the sixth annual CFISD High School Cupcake Battle, held Jan. 20 at the Berry Center.

See to Succeed clinic helps more than 800 students receive glasses

Jan. 20, 2023—CFISD continued offering free comprehensive eye exams and eyewear to students through the Houston Health Department’s See to Succeed program, which served 873 students from 58 campuses Jan. 9-12 at the Berry Center.

Former CFISD coaches inducted into area track and field hall of honor

Jan. 19, 2023—Former longtime CFISD track and field coaches Greg Hershman and Mike Long were recently inducted into the Gulf Coast Scholastic Track Coaches Association (GCSTCA) Hall of Honor, joining two fellow Class of 2022 honorees during the association’s 26th annual clinic on Dec. 10 at the University of Houston Athletics/Alumni Center.
