July 21, 2022—Twelve CFISD students from Bridgeland and Cypress Woods high schools earned top 10 awards in six different events at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference held June 24-July 2 in Chicago, Ill.
Bridgeland High School sophomore Sriharsha Potta placed first in Introduction to Business Concepts at the 2022 FBLA National Leadership Conference.
More than 12,000 students from across the country participated in the conference where they attended learning sessions with industry leaders, elected a national student officer team and competed in multiple events.

“I am so glad we were able to be back in person this year for FBLA’s National Leadership Conference,” said Lori Andrade, Cypress Woods FBLA sponsor. “The students had a great time competing and learning from one another and seeing Chicago!”
Students compete and are recognized for a broad range of business and career-related areas at the local, state and national levels. The FBLA National Leadership Conference is the culmination of students’ hard work from the previous academic year and an opportunity to showcase the skills and knowledge gained in the classroom.
