June 21, 2024—Kerri Dale, assistant principal at Matzke Elementary School, was named the principal of Yeager Elementary School on June 21. Dale replaces Tyler Hart, who resigned at the conclusion of the 2023-2024 school year.

Dale has 24 years of experience in education. She began her career at Reed Elementary School in 2000 as a second grade teacher. She also taught kindergarten and first grade at Reed, serving seven total years.

Dale transferred to Black Elementary School in 2007 as a kindergarten teacher and later served as a reading interventionist for two years before becoming an instructional specialist at Keith Elementary School in 2017. She was promoted to her current position as assistant principal at Matzke in 2019.

Dale earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1997 from Texas Christian University and her Master of Education in 2018 from Houston Baptist University.

“It is with overwhelming excitement and appreciation that I accept the role of principal of Yeager Elementary,” said Dale. I am eager to work together with the staff, students and community to continue the strong tradition of learning and achievement at Yeager. I consider it one of the greatest privileges to get to serve the Yeager community.”
