CFISD Student of the Week: Alisia Gardner

Brautigam Center senior Alisia Gardner is new to the campus but has already shown a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Sept. 12, 2022—Brautigam Center senior Alisia Gardner is new to the campus but has already shown a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

School: Brautigam Center

Age: 18

Grade: 12

Accomplishments: Gardner has started the school year on the right foot at the Brautigam Center, where she is working hard every day. She also recently adopted a kitten.

Favorite class: “My Digital Credit Recovery class is my favorite because Ms. J (Jaime Johnson) helps us anytime of the day if we need it. Plus, she feeds us sandwiches and snacks.”

Favorite things to do after class: “I love to play with my adopted kitten and hang out with my best friend and boyfriend.”

Favorite website/app: “Hulu since I like watching new movies.”

Favorite movie: “I love any and all horror movies.”

Ambition: “I am ambitious about graduating and going into the military (Navy) so I can start a new chapter in my life and get to all the good things life has to offer.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I am passionate about going into the military. I have already met with a recruiter. I participated in JROTC for two years. I’m trying to get all my ducks in a row.”

What inspires you?: “My brother inspires me. He did everything in his power to help our family when our father was in jail, and he still chased his dreams and made them come true.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “My family, my pets and my friends and boyfriend.”

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “I am looking forward to earning all my credits, graduating and leaving for the military. I know I can do it.”
