Oct. 3, 2022—Cypress Woods High School was named a 2022 recipient of the College Success Award from GreatSchools.org. Only 1,742 schools across 25 states earned the 2022 distinction.

The award, based on high school and postsecondary data provided by state education agencies, offers a snapshot of whether a high school prepares students to enroll in college, succeed in college-level courses and enroll beyond their first year of college. The 2022 designation is the third time Cypress Woods has earned the College Success Award.

“Cypress Woods is more than honored to be recognized as one of the leading high schools in the nation for outstanding college success,” said Gary Kinninger, Cypress Woods principal. “Our staff does an incredible job of preparing our students for academic success beyond our campus. In 2021, GreatSchools.org introduced the College Success Award – Gold as a new elevated distinction. Cypress Woods earned the inaugural distinction due to being named a multiple College Success Award winner since the program began in 2018. Only 1,770 schools across the nation were named gold winners last year.
