More than 8,800 Class of 2024 CFISD graduates earn diplomas

June 5, 2024—The 12 Cypress-Fairbanks ISD graduation ceremonies held at the Berry Center from May 28-June 1 produced a total of 8,873 graduating seniors for the Class of 2024.
Each commencement exercise was highlighted by remarks and addresses from each campus principal and student representatives from every graduating class. Selected representatives also led the Pledge of Allegiance, while Air Force JROTC members presented the colors prior to each ceremony.

In addition to earning their high school diplomas, approximately 765 CFISD seniors from all 12 high schools also graduated with their associate degrees from Lone Star College—CyFair through the CFISD College Academy. The Class of 2021 from Cypress Lakes High School marked the inaugural College Academy graduating class, with 85 students earning both their high school diplomas and associate degrees. The College Academy allows eligible students to earn an associate degree from LSC—CyFair when they graduate high school. It is designed to allow students to take a sequence of college-level courses through the LSC—CyFair dual-credit program, which simultaneously provides credit toward their high school diploma.

They were among 765 graduates from all 12 CFISD high schools who earned their high school diplomas and associate degrees from Lone Star College—CyFair.
More than 61,000 guests attended the Class of 2024 commencement exercises, while 68,454 others watched the graduation ceremonies through the CFISD YouTube channel. The views were both across the United States and 30 countries internationally as of June 5.
The 2023-2024 school year marked the 17th year for graduation ceremonies to be viewed live for the public.
