In December, Imagine Learning issued a challenge to math students nationwide, encouraging them to engage with our math program and successfully complete at least five lessons to qualify for the Winter MATH-a-Thon. More than 926,000 students from the United States participated in the competition vying for the title of MATH-a-Thon winner. From the pool of eligible students, five individuals were chosen at random to be recognized for their achievements.

Rodriguez Amaya successfully completed 1,199 math lessons in December to earn the grand prize. Imagine Learning representatives Terry Rasmussen and Dr. Mark Weatherly visited Walker on Jan. 22 to present Rodriguez Amaya with a certificate and an iPad.
