Seven CFISD soccer teams earn bi-district postseason victories

The Cypress Ridge High School boys’ soccer team defeated Houston Sam Houston, 2-1, to advance to the area round.
The Cypress Ridge High School boys’ soccer team defeated Houston Sam Houston, 2-1, to advance to the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs. The Rams will play Katy Jordan at 7 p.m. on March 29 at Springs Woods High School. 

March 28, 2024—Seven CFISD boys’ and girls’ soccer teams won their respective Region II-6A and Region III-6A bi-district playoff matches March 25-26 to advance to the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs.

District 16-6A girls’ soccer results were as follows:

Bridgeland High School defeated Klein Oak, 3-0. The Bears advance to the area round to face Conroe Oak Ridge at 7 p.m. on March 28 at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium (8877 Barker Cypress Road).

Cypress Ranch High School ended its season with a 3-1 loss to Klein. The Mustangs were District 16-6A’s second seed and bi-district finalists.

Cypress Woods High School ended its season with a 4-3 loss in penalty kicks to Tomball. The Wildcats were District 16-6A’s third seed and bi-district finalists.

Langham Creek High School ended its season with a 4-1 loss to Tomball Memorial. The Lobos were District 16-6A’s fourth seed and bi-district finalists.

District 16-6A boys’ soccer results were as follows:

Bridgeland defeated Klein Forest, 5-4, in penalty kicks. The Bears advance to the area round to play Klein Collins at 7 p.m. on March 29 at Klein Collins High School (20811 Ella Blvd).

Cypress Springs High School defeated Klein Cain, 5-4. The Panthers advance to the area round to meet Conroe at 7 p.m. on March 29 at Klein Memorial Stadium (16607 Stuebner Airline Road).

Cypress Woods defeated Tomball, 2-0. The Wildcats advance to the area round to face Conroe Grand Oaks at 7:30 p.m. on March 29 at Klein Oak High School (22603 Northcrest Drive).

Cypress Falls High School ended its season with a 2-0 loss to Waller. The Golden Eagles were District 16-6A’s second seed and bi-district finalists.

District 17-6A girls’ soccer results were as follows:

Cy-Fair High School defeated Houston Bellaire, 2-0. The Bobcats advance to the area round to play Katy Seven Lakes at 7:15 p.m. on March 29 at Cypress Ridge High School (7900 N. Eldridge Parkway).

District 17-6A boys’ soccer results were as follows:

Cypress Ridge High School defeated Houston Sam Houston, 2-1. The Rams advance to the area round to meet Katy Jordan at 7 p.m. on March 29 at Spring Woods High School (2045 Gessner Road).

Jersey Village High School defeated Houston Lamar, 3-2. The Falcons advance to the area round to play Katy Cinco Ranch at 7 p.m. on March 28 at Katy ISD’s Legacy Stadium (1830 Katyland Drive).
