April 19, 2024—CFISD track and field athletes qualified for their respective regional meets after placing in the top four of their events at the District 15/16-6A and District 17/18-6A area meets held last weekend.
The Bridgeland High School boys’ track and field team won first place in the 15/16-6A area meet with 104 points.
The Bridgeland High School boys’ team won the 15/16-6A area meet, held April 12 at Tomball High School, scoring 104 points. Cypress Springs High School placed fourth (63), Cypress Ranch High School placed sixth (36), Cypress Falls High School placed eighth (32) and Cypress Woods High School placed 10th (29).
Cypress Ranch won the girls’ competition with 91 points, ahead of runner-up Bridgeland (88). Cypress Park High School (30) placed eighth and Cypress Woods (24) placed 10th to round out the top 10 teams.

17/18-6A Area Meet
Cypress Creek High School’s boys’ 4x400-meter relay team of Ethan Wright, Joshua Keys, Juan Lowe and Dwayne Brocken won first place in the 17/18-6A area meet with a time of 3:23.31 to help the Cougars win second place as a team with 98 points.
The Cypress Creek High School boys’ team placed second at the 17/18-6A area meet, held April 12 at Spring Oaks High School, scoring 98 points. Cy-Fair High School finished fourth (67), Jersey Village High School placed eighth (29) and Cypress Ridge High School placed ninth (22) to round out the top 10.
The Cy-Fair girls were runners-up with 108 points, followed by Jersey Village (69) in third, Cypress Creek (45) in seventh and Cypress Ridge (27) in ninth.
Cy-Fair High School’s girls’ 4x400-meter relay team of Hannah Lakin, Sarah Victor, Madison Ceasar and Madison Hung won first place in the 17/18-6A area meet with a time of 3:57.96 to help the Bobcats win second place as a team with 108 points.
