Four trustees sworn in; Board elects new officers

Dec. 7, 2023—Four members of the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Board of Trustees who were elected during the Nov. 7 general election were sworn into office during a committee-of-the-whole meeting on Thursday, Dec. 7:

  • Todd LeCompte, a newly elected trustee, was sworn into his first term for Position 1;
  • Julie Hinaman, was sworn into her second term for Position 2;
  • Justin Ray, a newly elected trustee, was sworn into his first term for Position 3; and
  • Christine Kalmbach, a newly elected trustee, was sworn into her first term for Position 4.

The four Board members will serve four-year terms that will expire in 2027.

District 130 State Rep. Tom Oliverson administered the oath of office to LeCompte, Ray and Kalmbach. Board Secretary Holly Reichert administered the oath of office to Hinaman. Following the oath, the Board reorganized by electing a president, vice president and secretary in accordance with Board Policy BDAA (Local).

Trustees voted for the following Board officers: Scott Henry was elected as Board president; Dr. Natalie Blasingame was elected as Board vice president; and Justin Ray was elected as Board secretary.
