LUNCH SUPER HERO
In the Spring of 2014, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD partnered with Cy-Hope, Feed the Future Forward, and Cy-Fair Food Service Association to create the Lunch Super Hero Account. The idea was initiated after Feed the Future Forward founder Kenny Thompson, known as the “School Lunch Angel,” met with district officials to determine the best way to continue his efforts after paying off students’ negative account balances at several area schools so that no student receives an alternate meal. It was then decided to establish one district-wide account to be used when elementary or middle school students have exceeded the credit limit on their lunch account.
Our goal is to work together with parents to make sure that all elementary and middle school students are able to receive a hot meal. If you would like to donate to the Lunch Super Hero Account you may do so:
- By cash or check at any CFISD cafeteria
- Cash or check at the Food Production Center- 11355 Perry Road, Houston, TX 77064
- Cy-Hope’s website
